BAHAWALPUR: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has refused to accept the results of the General Elections 2013, while he has also laid four demands for the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif – ARY News reports.
Imran Khan, after announcing time and again that he accepted the results of the last elections in the country for the sake of democracy to prevail here, has now refused to accept the results of the General Elections 2013 altogether.
Addressing a huge public meeting in Bahawalpur on Friday, the PTI Chairman strongly criticized the Government of Pakistan.
He presented his four demands for the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and warned of a tsunami march towards Islamabad on August 14, if these demands were not fulfilled.
Khan’s first demand was to elaborate that who planned the victory speech on May 11 at 11: 20 pm, when the counting of votes was still underway.
His second demand was to explain why were the returning officers not under the Elections Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Third and forth insistence of the PTI Chairman were the enlightening of the role of care-taker government during elections and explanation regarding the returning officers were changed in 90 constituencies of the country at the eleventh hour, and upon whose consent.
Speaking about Model Town Incident, Imran slammed the Punjab Police and asked with whom they would stand with – the Sharifs or the state of Pakistan.
