Imran Khan will take revolutionary steps to address problems: Naeem-ul-Haq

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is determined to solve problems affecting people’s daily lives and will take several revolutionary steps immediately after being sworn in as prime minister.

PTI spokesman Naeem-ul-Haq, while addressing journalists outside Imran’s residence in Bani Gala, said the the economy is undergoing a severe economic crisis, and Asad Umar who is set to be the next finance minister, has started making efforts to address the crisis by holding consultations in Karachi and Lahore, and will receive international support.

He said the party will form the next government at the Centre, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in Punjab. Furthermore, the party won fourteen National Assembly seats in Karachi which has changed the political landscape, and has emerged as the second largest party in Sindh.

He said the people of Pakistan should prepare for a glorious era of development in which the resources will be used on the welfare of the people. “I want to give the glad tidings to the people of Pakistan to get ready for a glorious era of development in which resources will be used for their welfare,” he said.

He further said that party will fulfill its promise to provide ten million jobs in the next five years, and they have received an overwhelming support from overseas Pakistanis who have expressed interest to invest and willingness to return and work for the benefit of the country.

He said the Imran Khan’s truly believes that people of Pakistan have been deprived of their rights since the last seven decades and they will provide them their due rights.

When asked about the swearing in ceremony of Imran Khan, the spokesman said that the arrangements will be made by the caretaker government, and he cannot provide details over the presence of foreign leaders.

He said that Imran Khan has received congratulatory messages from several world leaders but the final details over the oath-taking ceremony will be made soon. No details were also provided over the formation of the federal cabinet.

Regarding the next government in Balochistan, he said that consultations are necessary before making such decisions and the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) offered unconditional support to the PTI.
