LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has lambasted Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif for visiting United Kingdom (UK) amid ‘increasing terrorism and worst inflation in the country’, ARY News reported on Friday.
Taking to Twitter, the former premier strongly condemned the ‘horrific and brutal killing’ of school teachers in Parachinar and martyrdom of six soldiers fighting terrorists in North Waziristan.

“At this time of increasing terrorism and dire [economic] situation, with worst inflation in our history, what is PM [Shehbaz Sharif] doing going off for a Coronation trip to UK?” Imran Khan wrote.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least seven teachers were gunned down after unknown assailants targeted a school in Parachinar town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Upper Kurram Tehsil.
The incident occurred in the staff room of the school in Upper Kurram. All the educators were performing their exam duties at the time of the attack.
Soon after the incident, security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area while an emergency was declared at the hospitals.

PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in London to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.
The prime minister, during his stay, will also attend the meeting of heads of Commonwealth member countries.
The prime minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with other heads of state and government on the sidelines of the ceremony. He will also meet his elder brother Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
