Imad denies being investigated over PSL spot-fixing scandal

KARACHI: Karachi Kings all-rounder Imad Wasim on Saturday cleared the air through a tweet that he has not been investigated for fixing during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). 

He also said in the tweet that he will always play with dignity and pride for his country and respective teams which he plays for. Earlier on Saturday, some news channels were speculating that Wasim has been in radar of investigation for the ongoing spot fixing saga.

Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif of the Islamabad United have been suspended for alleged fixing in PSL and have returned back to Pakistan from Dubai. However, the investigation is still under process.

Karachi Kings’ Shahzaib Hasan and Islamabad United’s Mohammad Irfan were also investigated for fixing allegations, but both have got the clean chit and will continue to play for their respective teams.

Karachi Kings’ owner Salman Iqbal met with the head of anti-corruption united of the Pakistan Cricket Boards and discussed the situation. Mr. Iqbal on Twitter said that cricket is not only a passion but it unites us, and we should not give it a bad name but rather enjoy the great season of the PSL.
