ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday ordered the government to remove the containers placed at entry and exit points of Islamabad immediately, ARY News reported.
Justice Shaukat Aziz of IHC heard the case against the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.
The court ordered the government not to arrest any person unless they witnessed committing a crime.
The bench has also ordered the PTI not to shutdown federal capital city on 2nd November.
The court also ordered the police to produce the the list of under-custody PTI workers in the court on 31st October.
The lawyer representing PTI assured the court that the party will follow the court orders and their protest will be peaceful.
It should be noted that the Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced to shut down Islamabad on November 2nd. The party stated that the protests will continue till Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif steps down or presents himself for accountability over Panama Leaks allegations.
The government has placed containers across Islamabad to stop the party from staging its protest.
Islamabad Police had arrested several PTI workers as they were attending a party convention on Thursday evening.
