The media group had filed a petition in a lower court with allegations that the ARY News was maligning the group in its various programmes with defamatory content.
Advocate Faisal Chaudhry in his arguments before the single bench comprised of Justice Athar Minallah, contended that the rival group has registered a false case against his client Salman Iqbal due to the business rivalry.
The counsel further argued that no documentary evidence produced neither any witness has said anything against Mr. Salman Iqbal. The lawyer pleaded to the learned bench to stop the lower court from any action against his client and sought orders for dismissing the case against Salman Iqbal, which is based on malicious intention.
The court after hearing arguments approved the plea of Salman Iqbal for hearing and issued restraining order about any action against him.
The bench also ordered the other party to submit its reply within seven days.
