ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the hearing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill’s post-arrest bail application over special prosecutor’s request, ARY News reported on Monday.
According to details, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the post-arrest bail petition of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in a sedition case. Special Prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi appeared before the court.
During the hearing, the special prosecutor claimed that he thought the hearing was scheduled to take place on September 14th, urging the IHC to give ‘some time’ for preparations.
After hearing the arguments, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah adjourned the hearing of post-arrest bail plea till September 15.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI leader Shahbaz Gill has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking bail in a sedition case after a sessions court rejected the application.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal pronounced the reserved verdict, rejecting the bail petition of Shahbaz Gill.
In the last hearing, Gill’s counsel revealed that Imran Khan’s chief of staff was willing to tender an apology.

He is currently in jail on judicial remand on charges of sedition and inciting mutiny in the army following his controversial remarks.
