Pakistan claimed the third position at the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2018 after their third-fourth position play-off match against Afghanistan was washed-out on Thursday without a ball being bowled.
Earlier, Pakistan had lost to arch-rivals India in the ICC U-19 cricket World Cup semi-finals.
They lost by a massive 203-run margin, a record at the Under-19 level, in the last-four clash against India.

Afghanistan, on the other hand, lost to Australia in the other semi-final by six wickets. Afghanistan and Pakistan were both placed in Group D where Pakistan finished at top of the standings while Afghanistan was second.
The tournament final will be played between India and Australia on Saturday at Bay Oval.
