ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Hungary in Pakistan Istvan Szabo on Thursday said Hungry was providing 500 scholarships to Pakistani students, ARY News reported.
Istvan Szabo said this in a meeting with Federal Minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiani. Cooperation in the field of health was discussed during the meeting.
Health Minister Kiani said the present government was according top priority in the health sector and major reforms process in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan was being implemented.
He said Pakistan valued its collaboration with Hungary in the field of health. The minister expressed desire to further cement this collaboration for mutual benefits of people of both countries.

Making mention of the scholarships, the minister said as the focus was on the government’s strengthening the nursing sector so scholarships in the nursing field may also be included.
The Hungarian ambassador showed his full cooperation and expressed his desire to work closely with Pakistani side to take forward the collaboration in health sector.
Istvan Szabo showed keen interest in Pakistan Surgical instruments also.
The Saudi Arabian government in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) will provide fully-funded scholarships to 583 Pakistani students in 2019, Radio Pakistan had reported on January 7.
The commission had invited applications from talented students of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir for studying opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
Under these scholarship opportunities, three major levels of programmes have been announced, including Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes for specified fields of studies except health/medicine.
