LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz on Monday equated the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) with suspected land grabber Malik Mansha Khokhar alias Mansha Bomb.

“There is no difference between NAB and Mansha Bomb,” said the PML-N leader while speaking to media on the premises of the accountability court where his father Shehbaz Sharif was presented by the bureau for physical remand in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing scandal.

He said while Shehbaz was presented in court for the third time, the NAB prosecutor kept beating about the bush as no evidence was presented to prove charges against the PML-N president.

Hamza alleged that his father was being politically victimized. Prime Minister Imran Khan said there would be across the board accountability, but he should tell why people facing NAB cases were sitting in his cabinet, he asked.

Imran Khan has been threatening opponents every day and tried to appear squeaky clean despite the fact that he travelled around in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s helicopter.

Earlier today, an accountability court extended the physical remand of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif until Nov 7 in a case pertaining to the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing scandal.

Accountability Judge Syed Najamul Hasan granted the extension on a request by the bureau.

Shehbaz was presented in court a day before his earlier 14-day physical remand was to end. NAB asked the judge to extend his remand for another 15 days as his custody was required for further questioning.
