ISLAMABAD: Minister for National Health Services and Regulation Aamir Mehmood Kiyani on Monday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was paying special attention on the improvement of health sector.
He said this during a visit to Government Poly Clinic Hospital in Islamabad.
The minister said all out resources would be employed to improve the health sector. He said reforms introduced in the field of health had started reaping benefits.
“It is our moral and religious duty to serve the humanity. 250 million people living under the poverty line will get benefit from Insaf Health Card scheme,” he said.

Aamir Mehmood Kiyani said Poly Clinic was being upgraded with provision of improved facilities for patients. He directed to ensure supply of essential drugs in the hospital at all times. The minister also emphasised for special care of patients in emergency and cleanliness in wards and other areas.
Earlier in a statement last month, the minister said the government was going to start health insurance programme in the country under which 25 million Health Insurance Cards would be distributed among poor people.
“Four new hospitals will be established in Islamabad to facilitate the people,” he said.
Kiani said government hospitals in Islamabad had been facing staff shortage since long and the government was advertising for new jobs to fill the vacant seats.
