Chaudhry Nisar, in a media briefing on Sunday, said that he did not read the report of the joint investigation team regarding the case. He added that the FIR was lodged when the suspects were arrested.
“There are several cases pending in Pakistan whose plaintiffs do not even exist”, Nisar said.
The interior minister said that the previous government did not utter a single word on such a serious case.
He added that Pakistan will extend it full assistance to the United States in the investigation of the shooting incident in California which left at least 14 people dead.
He added that Islam is a religion of peace and the religion should not be blamed.
Nisar added that certain elements are trying to malign the religion with the acts of terrorism. He added that Pakistan condemns all kinds of terrorism.
It should be noted that a couple of Pakistani-origin have been blamed of storming a community centre in California’s San Bernadino.
