Governor Sindh launches “Naya Pakistan Housing Program” in Sukkur

SUKKUR: Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail has said that “Naya Pakistan Housing  Program” aims to serve masses, not for political point scoring.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating “Naya Pakistan Housing Program” in Sukkur on Monday, the governor said that, “Sindh is our motherland, where we have grown up, Sindh’s development is the government’s top most priority.”

Ismail appealed masses to cooperate with the government for timely completion of the project, adding that the people can also give suggestions for the betterment of the housing scheme launched by the PTI government.

Governor Sindh said that “people living in Sindh have equal rights over “Naya Pakistan Housing Program”, residents can file their complaints with NADRA about the project.

Supporting decision of approaching IMF for bailout package, Mr. Imran Ismail said: there was “No way out” to take economy back on the track, adding that austerity drive will not help the cause that much.

The PTI government on October 21, added two more cities from southern Punjab: Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh in “NPHP”.

Few days earlier, the government had announced to expand the housing scheme to ten other cities of Punjab.

The cities being included in the next projects are Lahore, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Kasur, Sialkot, Jhelum and Gujranwala.

It is to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the scheme named Naya Pakistan Housing Project earlier this month under which five million houses would be constructed in five years.

Registration forms of the scheme are available on website of NADRA www.nadra.gov.pk/nphp.

The forms can also be obtained from District Housing Program Office.
