Gen Bajwa inquires health of Parachinar blast injured

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday visited Parachinar in Kurram Agency where he was given a detailed briefing on the blast yesterday which killed over twenty people.

The Army Chief visited the agency’s hospital to inquire about the health of the injured in the blast. Gen Bajwa had directed for quick evacuation and the best medical care to victims of Parachinar blast.

Later, Gen. Bajwa met with tribal elders and expressed grief on the incident. He lauded their support of the tribal brethen in combating terrorism and acknowledged their services for peace.

He said that with their support the Pakistan Army, Frontier Constabulary and other law-enforcement agencies have restored peace in the region and terrorists will fail to derail it.

Gen Bajwa lauded their efforts in maintaining tribal and sectarian harmony which is a source of national integration. He said that Pakistan belongs to all of us without any religious, provincial, tribal, linguistic, ethnic, sectarian or any other discrimination.

He also announced the established on an Army Public School (APS) which will impart quality education. The tribal elders thanked the COAS for sharing their sorrow and pledged to continue working supporting efforts for enduring peace and stability.

Later, COAS also visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar and inquired about the health of the critically injured, who were evacuated by the army helicopters.
