Gangster involved in 100 murders killed in Lyari: Police

KARACHI: A gangster allegedly involved in killings of more than 100 people was killed in a police encounter in Lyari, ARY News reported on Friday.

Accused Irfan Chhachhi was a member of Faisal Pathan gang in Lyari, police sources said.

He was a hardcore criminal and was involved in over 100 murders the political opponents and members of rival groups, sources said.

He was also involved in grenade attacks on police stations, police officials said.

Moreover, police arrested an accused after an exchange of fire in North Nazimabad.

Police also arrested 10 suspects in various raids in New Karachi and Federal B Area. Illegal arms, drugs, snatched mobile phones and a motorbike also recovered from the possession of arrested people.
