Gang involved in blood adulteration busted in Multan

The lust to become wealthy blinded four staffers of a private blood bank here as they started to add water to blood to increase its quantity. When transfused into a minor, the blood reacted worsening the condition of the boy, who was immediately rushed to Nishter Medical Hospital.

The doctors at the hospital found out the blood was adulterated and complained to the police about it. The police swiftly acted and rounded up four staffers of the blood bank.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government also took notice of ARY News story and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif sought a report on it from concerned authorities and Punjab Department of Human Rights.

Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Tahir Khalil Sindhu, directed the regional police officer (RPO) Multan to hunt down all members of the gang and send the blood samples to Lahore.
