Furious mob vandalises PML-N MPA’s guest house in Kasur

KASUR: A furious mob in Kasur on Thursday vandalised guest house of a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly (MNA) to allegedly vent their anger over tragic incident of Zainab Ansari’s murder, ARY News reported.

The protestors seeking justice for murder of the minor girl vandalised all the things present in Waseem Akhtar Sheikh’s guest house and office.

ARY News correspondent Takreem Ali said the crowd was dispersed after huge contingent of police arrived at the scene of the incident. However, after some time the protestors regathered and pelted stones at police forcing them to flee.

“The protesters vented their anger over failure of the public representatives to lead them in their protest for justice,” he said.

Earlier, house of PML-N Member of Provincial Assembly Naeem Safdar also came under attack. Two vehicles were set on fire in this attack.

Body of a minor girl, Zainab, was found dumped in a garbage heap near Kashmir Chowk in Kasur on Tuesday.

In the light of initial postmortem, police said the minor was sexually assaulted before her murder. The girl was strangled to death after being raped multiple times, police said.

The incident shook the whole country and made headlines around the world. The incident was widely condemned and calls for justice echoed on social media and other platforms.
