LAHORE: Police shot dead a fugitive, escaped from a police station, in an alleged encounter in Lahore on Sunday night, ARY News reported.
Police said that the absconder Abu Bakar, who fled from Defence-A Police Station of Lahore, wa shot dead in an encounter at Harbanspura area of the historic city.
His partner-in-crime managed to escape from the scene.
The dead body of the fallen criminal, was shifted to the morgue at Mayo Hospital.
Abu Bakar was said to be released from jail on 7th November and again stepped into the world of crime. He was allegedly involved in scores of crimes including robberies and dacoities.
According to police, the slain man was habitual criminal and had once injured four persons who were attempting to resist a robbery bid.
The slain robber was said to be only child of his parents.
