Former cricketers support PCB decision against corruption

LAHORE: Pakistan’s former cricketers have backed the decision of Pakistan Cricket Board of suspending Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan from Pakistan Super League for alleged spot fixing.

PCB has provisionally suspended Islamabad United’s batting duo of Sharjeel Khan and Khalif Latif as part of an ongoing investigation for their involvement in corruption.

Pakistan’s former captain Asif Iqbal gave his opinion on the ongoing fixing saga and said, “The board has taken a right decision, however I want to add that they should take it (investigation) to the conclusion.”

Basit Ali supported board’s decision saying that PCB has taken a very good step and it will create an example for upcoming players to refrain them from such acts.

Moreover, former head coach, Mohsin Khan stated that the board should take action against all players irrespective of their stature.
