The Secretary National Health took notice of the non-provision of anti-polio vaccine to the armed forces of Pakistan on Thursday and directed the EPI to issue 60,000 vaccine doses immediately.
These doses are being provided for the officials and soldiers, who are to go abroad, while 60,000 polio certificates have also been issued in this regard.
Sources told that EPI has initially issued 15000 vaccine doses, while a total of 60,000 will be issued to the armed forces of Pakistan.
It was further reported that the DG Health had earlier rejected the application for providing the anti-polio vaccine.
