Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) made arrest of alleged human smuggler Ahteshamul Haq who was trying to flee out of the country aboard PIA flight PK-741 bound to Jeddah from Islamabad.
Accused Ahteshamul Haq who is a “notorious human smuggler” was wanted to the FIA, said a statement of the investigation agency.
The suspect, is married to a PIA air hostess, who was also detained by the FIA for investigation, sources said.
The FIA also arrested three persons with several documents including diplomatic papers during a raid in Lahore.
In a separate raid in Gujranwala, FIA officials seized a large number of medicines which were brought under the US Aid programme.
