ISLAMABAD: Farah Khan, a close friend of former first lady Bushra Bibi, has filed an application with Director-General (DG) Anti-Corruption, stating that matters related to the allotment of plots do not fall under the jurisdiction of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), ARY News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, Farah Khan aka Gogi has filed an application with DG Anti-Corruption through her lawyer Azhar Siddique on the issue of cases registered against her.
In the application, Farah Khan alleged that she was being politically victimised, adding that the ACE has not provided copies of the cases registered against her. “The ACE should withdraw the cases or will approach High Court,” she added.
The application stated that the plot was legally bought by paying more than the market rate. “[PML-N leader] Ayaz Sadiq also bought a plot in Fedmak and paid less amount. Anti corruption has no authority to investigate this case,” it added.
Earlier in July, It was reported that Farah Khan started preparations to file a lawsuit against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Attaullah Tarar and Malik Ahmed Khan.
Farah Khan’s lawyer started preparations to file a lawsuit against Punjab’s Home Minister Attaullah Tarar and Law Minister Malik Ahmed Khan to seek legal action against them.
Azhar Siddique Advocate said that a defamation case is being filed against Attaullah Tarar. He added that the said plot was purchased by his client after fulfilling all legal requirements, whereas, the said company was registered with the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
