The Pakistan Day parade was held in full force after seven long years when the armed forces led their war machines and war troops demonstrate a show of strength. The occasion was also ripe to bestow awards on those who had sacrificed their lives for their country or made their nation proud through sheer hard work and efforts.
The Hilal-I-Imtiaz is the second highest honorary award given to both civil and military personnel. These awards are distributed in recognition of any great contribution made to the state, especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of Pakistan, world peace, cultural or other significant public endeavors. The following were bestowed with the Hilal-I-Imtiaz award:-

The highest award for bravery and gallantry as far as the armed forces are concerned, is the Hilal-i-Shujaat. It was bestowed on Lt.General Rizwan Akhtar yesterday.

These awards are conferred on individuals who benefit Pakistan on the international scene and have been bestowed on an ambassador in the past on account of strengthening Pakistan’s relations with a country. Named after Quaid-e-Azam, it is an honor to receive this award. The following two individuals were awarded the star yesterday:-

Sitara-i-Shujaat is also awarded on account of bravery and courage. Two of the three recipients of the award were the martyred victims of the APS attack in Peshawar.
