Terrorist attacks in Pakistan mostly being carried out from Afghan territory: PM Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday said most of the leaders of terrorists were hiding in Afghanistan and terrorist attacks in Pakistan were mostly being carried out from Afghan territory, ARY News reported.

“Around 0.2 million of Pakistan Army personnel are fighting terrorists on eastern border as no country in the world other than Pakistan is more desirous of peace in Afghanistan,” he said talking to a local channel.

He said Pakistan’s stance against terrorism was manifest which it had openly made clear to the world.

The premier said Pakistan would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

He said that Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the aspirations of Kashmiris in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions. He said Kashmiris should be given right of plebiscite to decide their fate.

The PM Abbasi said that New Delhi was using negative tactics to divert attention of the international community form the Kashmir issue.

He said Pakistan was ready for meaningful dialogue with India, despite the fact that nothing good was expected from New Delhi.
