LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq on Sunday said the struggle of Kashmiri people is an ideological war and nobody could defeat it.
“Kashmir movement is different from the war in Afghanistan and Palestine, as it is continuation of the historic Pakistan movement,” he said addressing a Kashmir March on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day in Lahore.

He said that more than 100,000 Kashmiris had laid down their lives for freedom, while thousands of Kashmiri youth were being tortured by Indian forces in jails but they had refused to give up their struggle.
Siraj said the United Nations had become deaf, dumb and blind over Kashmir issue.
In a separate statement, President Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that peace in South Asia is linked to resolution of Kashmir issue.

He said Pakistan has always supported Kashmir freedom movement at every national and international fora and it will continue to do so till the independence of Kashmir.
He strongly condemned Indian atrocities and barbarism on innocent Kashmiris.
