LAHORE: Team Sar-e-Aam, which is on a mission to plant 1.4million trees till Independence day, made a unique record on Friday in Lahore’s Pak Turk School, ARY News reported.
Led by ARY News anchor Iqrar-ul-Hassan, Sar-e-Aam team made school’s young students plant 71 trees in less than 71 seconds.
As the Sar-e-Aam team leader reached the school today, he urged the children to plant 71 trees in 71 seconds. The figure 71 was chosen as Pakistan will be celebrating its 71st Independence day on August 14, 2018.
The tree plantation drive which aims to plant 1.4million trees till August 14, was started on August 1 by Iqrar-ul-Hassan himself from Karachi.
A large number of Sar-e-Aam team members are also planting trees in other parts of the country.

“TeamSareAam has launched a tree plantation campaign nationwide, target is to plant 1.4 million trees till 14th august. To spread the message we are visiting universities, colleges and Madaris (religious seminaries as well,” Iqrar-ul-Hassan had written on Twitter.
It is pertinent to note here that Sar-e-Aam team also did similar activities on days like Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday and Pakistan Day.
