LAHORE: The Punjab government has stressed on the need to establish Special Courts to punish contaminators and adulterators of food and milk.
Following a suo motto notice of the Supreme Court against adulterated and contaminated food and milk, the Punjab government has sent a notification to district officers and relevant secretaries to nominate two persons from each district for posting in the special courts.
The Punjab government has asked Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Mansoor Ali Shah to nominate presiding officers for special courts, so that the special courts could be established at earliest.
As per the provincial government’s instruction the requisite qualification of candidates for posts in special courts should be MBBS or masters in food technology, chemistry, bio chemistry, zoology or veterinary.
