ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter on Tuesday to take a swipe at Indian and Israeli leaders for what he said going against international laws, United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and the constitution of their own countries just to win election.

“When leaders in Israel & India show a moral bankruptcy in their readiness to annex occupied West Bank & IOK [India-held Kashmir] in defiance of int[ernational] law, UNSC resolutions & their own Constitution for votes, don’t their people feel a sense of outrage & wonder how far they will go simply to win an election,” questioned the prime minister.

PM Khan’s tweet follows on the heels of his earlier criticism of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Earlier, on April 6, the prime minister had said Indian ruling party’s  attempt  to win election through whipping up war hysteria and false claims  of downing a Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft has backfired.

“The truth always prevails and is always the best policy,” he tweeted and added India’s ruling party’s attempt to win elections through whipping up war hysteria and false claims of downing a Pak F 16 has backfired with US Defence officials also confirming that no F16 was missing from Pakistan’s fleet.
