ISLAMABAD: On demand of opposition parties, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Tuesday announced to convene the joint session of the parliament in the wake of Indian military aircraft’s violation of the Line of Control (LoC).

Addressing the National Assembly, Ali Muhammad Khan said the joint session will be held tomorrow (Wenesday) to give a united response of the nation to the Indian aggression.

“I will try that the session is summoned today (Tuesday) even if it is at midnight,” he said.

The minister of state for parliamentary affairs said India just like the past, restored to cowardly act in the darkness of night but the Pakistani Air Force gave a befitting response and forced the Indian aircraft to retreat.

He said Pakistan is a peace loving country but its desire for peace should not be misconstrued as a weakness. “Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state but if India do not refrain from provocations, the Pakistani nation will give a befitting response.”

After the NA session resumed on Tuesday, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khurshid Shah, addressing the floor, said “we stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for the security and defence of the motherland.”

Khurshid Shah warned if India could violate Pakistani airspace, we also had the capability to hit far deep inside India.
