Pakistan can’t be cowed down through Indian threats: Nisar

“Pakistan would not step back from its moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiri people,” he said categorically while talking to Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja (AJK) Muhammad Farooq Haider in Islamabad.

He said the just struggle of Kashmiris cannot be suppressed by state repression by India.

The minister said grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and disrespect to United Nations resolutions on Kashmir should be a matter of concern for the world body and international community.

Just hours after a brazen attack on the Brigade Headquarter in Uri, Indian-Occupied Kashmir, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh accused Pakistan of being responsible behind the attack on Sunday.

Seventeen Indian soldiers were killed during a pre-dawn attack on the heavily fortified army base which houses of soldiers located 100 kilometers west of Srinagar. This is the the worst such attack for years in the restive region which has brutal repression and other atrocities.

Pakistan termed Indian Home Minister’s allegation of Pakistan’s involvement in Uri army base attack as baseless and irresponsible.

Spokesman Foreign Ministry Nafees Zakaria said world’s attention was focused on what was going on in Indian Occupied Kashmir and voices were raising from every corner of the world against Indian atrocities on Kashmiri civilians.

“India’s state terrorism has claimed over 100 lives of innocent Kashmiris in the held valley, while thousand others are injured. Over 700 Kashmiris have lost their eyesight,” he said in a statement.
