KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Mustafa Kamal on Monday said that his party will never enter into an alliance with MQM-Pakistan as Farooq Sattar’s party is still doing politics of ethnicity.

Speaking exclusively to ARY News, Kamal said that his party has a clear stance that whoever is doing politics over “Mohajir identity” in Karachi is the greatest enemy of Mohajirs (Urdu/Gujarati speaking immigrants from partition).

“If I will do the same, I too will be counted as the greatest enemy of Mohajirs as ethnic politics in the name of Mohajirs will make Pathans, Punjabis and Sindhis living in Karachi insecure and they will think that my party has no place for them and they too will find such ethnic groups and stand against Mohajirs. So, by resorting to such politics I will create four enemies of the community in the city,” said Mustafa Kamal.

He also claimed that his party’s policies has united people belonging to every ethnicity.

It is pertinent to mention here that Mustafa Kamal had formed his own party last year after a press conference in which he deeply criticised then MQM-chief Altaf Hussain.

MQM is currently operating in two factions, the party’s London faction is being operated from British capital while MQM-Pakistan is currently working under Farooq Sattar.

The Farooq Sattar faction comprises mostly of party’s legislators, the faction gradually dissociated itself from London after MQM chief’s controversial August 22 speech.
