Nawaz Sharif has been in London since May 22. This has been his second visit to London in less than two months for medical purpose at a time when the controversy over Panama Papers is still continues at home.

After scans and tests, Maryam said, the family has decided to go for an open-heart surgery on Tuesday. Until then the PM would be on specific medication.

She tweeted: “The recovery period and hospital stay will be one week and he (PM) will travel Insha’Allah back to Pakistan as soon as the doctors allow him.”

“Prayers are the most effective and potent medicine. Millions will pray for him. Insha’Allah he will be fine,” she wrote in her Twitter message, urging people to pray for the recovery of PM Nawaz Sharif. She also re-tweeted many tweets of prayers for the prime minister with thanks.
Maryam said her father also had a cardiac procedure in 2011 called ‘Atrial Fibrillation Ablation’, during which certain complications occurred resulting in perforation of heart and leading to an open-heart surgery.
She said due to certain recent symptoms doctors made further investigations. The team of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons after thorough examination, scans and tests have decided to go for an open-heart surgery.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended best wishes to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his open-heart surgery.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also wished for the PM’s early recovery and appealed to all Pakistanis to pray for him. “Sincerely hope his surgery goes well and he recovers soon.”

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif while confirming reports said that the prime minister will be able to travel after two weeks of his surgery.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan also prayed for prime minister’s health in his tweet.
