LAHORE: Daughter of former prime minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday asked the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) loyalists to end the politics of pawns by voting in NA-120 by-poll on September 17, ARY News reported.

In her maiden public speech in NA-120 constituency to launch on-ground campaign, she posed a wide spectrum of questions from the activists, she asked them if they agreed to the decision of disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, whether the person who gave Pakistan a complete network of arteries, roads and CPEC could be disqualified and if they would get Kulsoom Nawaz elected.

“Nawaz has been elected from NA-120, are you ready to get him elected once again?” she asked while inaugurating a party office in Mazang, Lahore.

She said the sit-in Panama and Iqama all were only excuses while Nawaz was the sole target of all this saga.

The former PM’s daughter also came down hard on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said in what capacity were they asking for votes in the constituency while they have been criticised the development in Punjab.

“What did they do where they were elected?” she queried.

Following the disqualification of Nawaz under Article 62 of the constitution by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the National Assembly seat in Lahore fell vacant.

In the General Elections 2013, Nawaz Sharif had secured 91,683 votes by winning the seat against 52,354 votes of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s candidate Yasmin Rashid.
