Indian producers association decides not to work with Pakistani artists until peace

Some reports have suggested that this step is taken to pay tribute to the victims of Uri base attack in which 18 Indian soldiers were killed. The attack has been termed by Pakistan as retaliation of Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

The IMPPA has expressed anguish over the fact that none of the Pakistani artists have condemned the recent Uri attacks.

“My bone of contention is that neither he nor any of the other Pakistani artistes in India have condemned the attack. After the Peshawar attacks, we had started one of our meetings at the IMPA with a tribute to the victims and survivors,” a member of IMPPA said while talking to an Indian website.

It is pertinent here to mention that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Sept 23 gave a 48 hours ultimatum to all Pakistani actors to leave India.

On the other hand, Pakistan is mulling over banning Indian movies in Pakistani cinemas and first victim of this decision was going to be MS Dhoni — The Untold Story. While, the Censor Board of Pakistan has claimed that they never received the MS Dhoni biopic film for certification, let alone banning it.
