LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday said advisors of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan were showing him the way to devastation, ARY News reported.
“Imran and his party is being used against democracy. He should grow up now as he has inflicted enough damage to democracy,” he said while talking to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office barriers in Lahore.
He said since last four years some people were working against the democratic system.
Saad has said that the national security, development and stability were directly linked with rule of law and continuity of democracy.
He said the government attached top priority to safeguarding the constitution.
The minister said the credit of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, overcoming load shedding, restoration of peace in Karachi, and national security went to the PML-N government.
He also said former president Asif Ali Zardari’s behaviour these days was extremely mysterious.
On Hudaibya Paper Mills case, Saad Rafique termed the reopening of the case as an unjustified move, saying the case was closed as a result of a court order, thus reopening of the case was injustice.
On Karachi’s political situation, Saad said the PML-N had nothing to do with the fight between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and Pak Sarzameen Party.
