KARACHI: The preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) are in top gear countrywide, ARY NEWS reported on Monday.
The Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on this Wednesday i.e. 12 Rabi ul Awal.
According to details, special programmes are being chalked out to highlight various aspects of the life of the last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).
Mosques, government and private buildings, markets, shopping centres and roads across the country being decorated tastefully with green buntings, flags and colorful lights to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) .
Meanwhile, vendors have set up colourful stalls with various collection of badges, stickers, flags, and banners inscribed with religious slogans to pay respect and reverence to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) across the country.
On this sacred night of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, Muslims perform prayers and read the holy Quran at mosques in addition to praying and listening to hymns praising the holy prophet (PBUH).
The Federal government has also announced to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the organizing committee for holding Rahmat ul Lil Alameen Conference in Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary, Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan, Special Assistant to the prime minister Iftikhar Durrani and Senator Faisal Javed.
