A large number of the worker and leaders of Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party have gathered at Garhi Khuda Bux amid strict security measures to pay respects to their martyred leader.
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a gun and bombing attack in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari and daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari visited the last abode of Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux graveyard and laid floral wreaths on her grave today.
The convoys of the leaders and the party workers from Punjab have also reached Larkana to attend the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
Stringent security measures have been taken for the death anniversary with deployment of over 6000 Rangers and policemen. More than 100 closed-circuit television cameras have also been installed around the venue of the public meeting and surrounding area for surveillance and security.
