According to details, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) on March 20 had appealed the peaceful citizens of Karachi to remove all barriers and security gates within 72 hours.
It was said that the paramilitary personnel will kick off an indiscriminate operation against all barricades across the city after 72 hours. The deadline ended last night at 12 am.
Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Siddiqui said that the process of detaching barriers will be initiated from today. He said that these hurdles not only affect the movement of people, but also trouble police patrol.
Siddiqui said that barricades installed in alleys pose obstruct the law enforcers in carrying out targeted operations against criminals in the city.
However, citizens in different areas have removed barricades on their own.
