KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday indicted former federal minister Dr. Asim Hussain in the case related to the provision of medical assistance and shelter to terrorists and criminals at his private hospitals.
In the same case, the ATC also indicted Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Anis Qaimkhani, Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Abdul Qadir Patel and Pasban leader Usman Moazzam.

Dr. Asim was arrested by Rangers on charges of corruption in August 2015. Waseem Akhtar, Anis Qaimkhani, Qadir Patel and others were facing charges of allegedly asking the former petroleum minister to provide treatment and shelter to criminal elements at the North Nazimabad and Clifton branches of his hospital.
