The PTI had sought copies of nomination papers of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in an attempt to disqualify him.
PTI had said in its petition with the ECP that PM Nawaz was neither ‘sadiq’ nor ‘ameen’, hence not eligible to be an MNA.
Sources said that PTI might now file a reference against the prime minister for his disqualification.
Before the PTI announced legal battle against the PM, Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, had also sought copies of Imran’s nomination forms for what he described as PTI chief’s alleged moral turpitude.
