Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu said she was happy to bag a role with Shah Rukh Khan instead of recommendation.
They will share the screen in the upcoming Dunki. The shooting of the Rajkumar Irani-directed project will start later this year. It will release next year.
The Pink actor, speaking with an India-based news agency, tweeted she landed the role with Shah Rukh Khan based on her talent.
“I am happy that this happened purely based on credentials and talent,” Taapsee Pannu was quoted saying in the report. “Nobody picked up the phone for a recommendation. I got the film only because someone liked what I did. “
Taapsee Pannu claimed she still can’t believe she would work with star, the actor whose films she saw while growing up.

“I have to pinch myself every day to believe this is happening. I have grown up watching his (Shah Rukh’s) films. For me, Shah Rukh Khan is the introduction to Hindi films. So just standing next to him in a frame is surreal. I hope I don’t mess it up,” she said.
The Naam Shabana actor has had quite the year as two films Looop Lapeta and Mishan Impossible were released.
