KARACHI: Fire tenders trying to control over the fire that broke out in a cotton factory on Monday night in the metropolis’ SITE Industrial Area, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
“Efforts were underway to douse the fire that erupted approximately 13 hours ago,” the chief fire officer said.
According to fire brigade officials, 12 vehicles were at the scene and trying to douse the blaze. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
The fire chief said the go-down had cotton bales stored inside which made it easier for the flames to spread and more challenging for the firefighters to bring it under control.
