Muhammad Siddiq was convicted for killing three persons during a theater show in Kamalia district. An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) awarded death penalty to Muhammad Siddiq in 2005 for the triple murder.
Siddiq shot dead three people namely Nadeem Abbas, Muhammad Rafi and Muhammad Nadeem. The convict was hanged to death after his mercy plea was rejected by President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.
Stringent security measures were taken in and outside the jail before the execution.
Pakistan ended a seven year old moratorium on death penalty after December 16 attack on Army Public School in Peshawar killing 149 people, mostly children.
Twenty five death row convicts have been executed so far after the decision to lift the moratorium.
