21st death anniversary of Agha Talish being observed today

Filmstar and one of the finest actors of his time, Agha Talish, is being remembered by his fans on his 21st death anniversary today.

Known as Agha Talish,  Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash was born in Ludhiana, British India in 1926 and made his debut in 1947 and was mostly known and recognized in Pakistan for playing ‘character actor’ or villain roles.

Talish’s breakthrough film was producer Saifuddin Saif’s Saat Lakh (1957) where his on-screen performance on a popular hit song was widely admired

His major films include Shaheed, Farangi, Zarqa and Yeh Amman. His role in Shaheed from 1961 and then a remake of this film as Watan in 1981 was one of the best role on silver screen.

Talish also played a remarkable role as an Israeli officer in film Zarqa (1969). His roles as Nawab in Umrao Jan Ada and Zeenat were all-time best roles in social films. He also played a fantastic comedy and title role in Barey Mian Deevaney (1977).

His son Ahsan Talish is also a well-known producer and actor.

A production company founded by his son is being working under the name of Agha Talish Productions and has produced several dramas for state television and other channels.
