Debating budget in the National Assembly, the finance minister removed his watch and handed it over to MNA Jamshed Dasti. Dasti had alleged Dar of wearing a watch worth Rs5 million.
Giving away the watch, the minister taunted the lawmaker saying that if Dasti gets even Rs50000 for the watch, he may donate it to some charity.
Yesterday, Ishaq Dar had suggested the masses to prefer chicken on pulses for it is much cheaper.
Meanwhile, PPP legislator Shazia Marri criticized the finance minister saying that people are chanting slogans “Dar Ki Murghi Daal Brabar (Dar’s chicken is equal to pulses)”.
She slammed that government relaxed taxes on poultry business, claiming that she has the names of companies who were benefitted with the move.
Marri advised the government to grant favors to general public instead of only one man.
