ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi on Thursday said that continuous research and expertise in latest technology were the need of the hour to stay informed with the latest defence needs.
“We also need to promote latest trends in naval affairs,” he said while speaking as a chief guest at concluding ceremony of seminars held by Pakistan Navy at its units PNS Jauhar and PNS Bahadur in Karachi to discuss professional aspects of Navy.
Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi said that the seminars would play an important role in enhancing the professional capabilities of Pakistan Navy.

Earlier last month, Abbasi said certain anti-Pakistan players sought to disturb peace in the country.
“Today Pakistan is facing myriad of security challenges on internal and external fronts. On internal front, certain anti Pakistan players seek to disturb peace and harmony in our country.
“Armed Forces of Pakistan are at the forefront of the national resolve of eradicating such elements from the country. Pakistan Navy is also playing its due role as part of ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fassad’ in collaboration with Pakistan Army, PAF and other Law Enforcement Agencies,” he said.
