ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Pervaiz Malik has invited British Business houses to invest in Pakistan.
Talking to British Trade Envoy for Pakistan Rehman Chishti in London on Sunday, he stressed the need to initiate a dialogue for comprehensive trade relations between the two countries in future.

He appreciated the commitment expressed by the British government regarding the continuation of market access to Pakistani products after Brexit.
The British trade envoy assured that his country would work closely with Pakistan to promote bilateral commercial relations.
In this regard, he also informed about his plan to
visit Pakistan in November this year to forge a closer economic relationship with Pakistan. Commerce Minister welcomed high-level visits of British dignitaries to Pakistan and hoped that bilateral commercial relations between the two countries will be further strengthened in the days to come.It is important to note that the UK is a 3rd largest export destination for the Pakistani products and is one of the largest foreign investors in the country. Pakistani exports to the British market have registered 8% growth during the calendar year 2016 whereas during the first 7 months of this calendar year our exports have registered 11 % growth.
