Hillary Clinton made her first public address after conceding election defeat, but the spotlight of her appearance on the internet was something quite strange – her make-up.
Although Hillary Clinton has conceded the presidency, she’s still speaking out on the issues that are important to herself and her supporters.
Last week on Wednesday night, the former Democratic presidential candidate and senator from New York addressed the crowd during the Children’s Defense Fund’s Beat the Odds celebration in Washington, DC, delivering a speech on perseverance.
Without makeup
She’s “clearly no longer concerned about impressing the public visually,” wrote one particularly charming Daily Mail journalist, who pointed out that, now the election is over, HRC is unlikely to receive the “corrective help” she did from a make-up artist on the campaign trail, “which may explain her tired aesthetic”.
“Well, Hillary’s hair stylist and the make-up artist are clearly no longer on the pay roll,” tweeted another self-appointed commentator on all things Clinton.
@HillaryClinton @ChildDefender Why didn’t you wear makeup and fix your hair…why on earth did you go on camera looking the way you did?

@HillaryClinton You rock. With or without makeup. Thank you for all you have done for this country, and will continue to do. So sad.

I keep seeing posts about Hillary Clinton looking “half dead.” Turns out she’s just not wearing eye makeup. Seriously people.

Hillary Clinton makes her first speech since concession; headlines are about her lack of makeup. But sexism isn’t a thing. Absolutely not.

Anyone else think the no make up and unwashed hair was as staged as everything else Hilary Clinton does or says ?? https://t.co/PKnV0CK70R

Love that @HillaryClinton decided not to wear makeup in her first speech off the campaign. She’s clearly had it with the #patriarchy 💪🏼🤘🏼 pic.twitter.com/AyA91WG0VG

So much hate re: relatively bare-faced HRC. Compared to a man who wears enough makeup/bronzer for 2 drag queens. TY4 2nite @HillaryClinton.

Hillary could have made her concession speech wearing sweats, Uggs and no make up, and I think the entire world would have understood.
