Chairman NAB vows accountability without any discrimination

ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has said that the bureau is an impartial institution and it will continue the process of accountability without any fear or discrimination, ARY News reported on Monday.

Chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal while talking to media here said that the big names behind corrupt practices were not tackled properly earlier, which was resulted hike in corruption.

He said the NAB is focusing on mega corruption case, which will gradually reduce corrupt practices at the lower level.

Javed Iqbal said that it is an impression that NAB’s actions are intimidating the business community and the investors, which have negative impact on the growth of the national economy.

He said the accountability bureau’s basic work is to monitor corrupt practices of government officials and corruption in public funds. Those who have no relation with public office or public funds could work without any fear, Chairman NAB said.

Iqbal said that NAB is not against those working for the betterment of the economy and they wouldn’t have any complaint from the accountability bureau

KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department Monday said that the mercury shot to 47 degree Celsius at 12:00 noon in Jacobabad and Dadu and 46 degree centigrade in D.G. Khan as Sindh and Punjab provinces suffering the brunt of very hot weather in the ongoing spell of searing summer, ARY News reported.
