LAHORE: The time to persuade voters and garner as much support as possible for their candidates in NA-120 by-election came to an end on Friday night, ARY News reported.
All the political parties and candidates including the ones contesting independently have wrapped up their by-election campaign.
Pakistan Army and Punjab Rangers have begun deploying their troops at various polling stations of the constituency to ensure free and fair election, scheduled on Sunday.
As many as 220 polling stations of the constituency have been declared sensitive.
The contesting candidates and workers of the political parties went door to door, persuading residents of the constituency to vote for them.
They also held meetings with the polling agents to map out a plan to keep check on the activities inside and outside the polling stations.

Exhibiting enormous influence, various political parties held rallies to impress the voters.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP)’s candidate Faisal Mir tried to impress the people of the constituency by picking up garbage from streets himself.
On the flip side, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s campaign supervisor Maryam Nawaz – daughter of disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif – visited different localities of the constituency along with the workers as part of their by-election campaign.
